The second round goes well.

The weekend started out hotter than Hell and ended with rains so heavy it flooded the track. Still - we had fun, ran well, and kept it out of the light blue guardrail. (Which is more than many others can say!)

At speed going down into the boot.
After the first session I was soaked with perspiration and terrified from the evil handling of the car.
After making a few shock changes and tire pressure changes the handling wasn't quite so scary.

Here I am lapping the field. OK, while leading one car and about to be passed by the other...we scream out of the boot.

The drowned rats. They worked incredibly hard in very tough conditions. The result of sitting out here in the rain was a magnum of champagne awarded by PCA to "The Most Persistent Racer". Kevin, Mitch, and Warren give the Steve McQueen two finger salute.
Of course the next day dawned beautiful and sunny. Here Peter, Kevin (back row), Dempsey, Warren, and Mitch finally begin to dry out.
