A little about me ...
For over thirty years I've been involved in language, training, and writing services. My freelance career has been very rewarding, and I'd recommend it to anyone with writing talent, foreign language aptitude, flexibility, and a sense of humor. I've done research in some of the world's great libraries, both in person and online, and have acquired substantial computer proficiency along the way. The job has required a familiarity with a variety of software packages, including Banyan Vines, Novell NetWare, Windows, Microsoft Office, WordPerfect, and Lotus products, to name but a few I've worked with.
For my sins, I created this web page myself using a variety of products, including Netscape Composer, Adobe PageMill, and PaintShop Pro.
My Humanities background certainly prepared me for an ever-shifting job market. I studied Literature and History at Michigan State University, German at the Goethe-Institut, Philology at the University of North Carolina, Literary Criticism at the University of Michigan. In addition, I read Philosophy at the Universität Köln with the aid of a DAAD fellowship.
