SMWTMS was founded in April 1975 by four audiophiles. Our mailing list now covers over one hundred people. Our interest in audio is at the highest levels, but our interest in organization is minimal. Meetings are announced in the club publication named, LC, The SMWTMS Network. This modest journal publishes member's thoughts on audio scene. The cost of printing and mailing LC is $12.00 per calendar year. Our meetings occur on the second or third Saturday of odd numbered months and are held at a member's home. The typical number of people at a meeting is 26 ± 6. To reduce the burden on those able to host such a group, members who cannot host are placed on a co-host roster and required to obtain the refreshments. There is a door charge of $5.00 at each meeting. Since club journal and other costs are separate, meetings are open to all and out state members do not support local meetings. Upon payment for LC, you will receive a list of current members. For inclusion in the list, please send your home and work phone numbers, and either your area of interest within audio or your e-mail address. To receive LC, please send $12.00 to SMWTMS, P O Box 1464, Berkley MI 48072-0464. Please make checks payable to David Carlstrom. Please indicate your willingness to host meetings in your home. SMWTMS meeting programs are primarily prepared and presented by SMWTMS members. New members are encouraged to contribute a program as soon as they feel comfortable. Contact the Program Director with your ideas.
