September 1 - 4, 2006: The Detroit International Jazz Festival goes Zydeco in 2006. This year the Labor Day Weekend Jazz Festival features the best of Zydeco artists including CJ Chenier, Buckwheat, Terence Simien and Nathan. Lil' Bryan is the only premier national act missing. Festival also features the fantastic Holmes Brothers, Taj Mahal. Doctor John and Marcia Ball. Don't miss it. Bob Foley is looking forward to hearing Marcus Begrave's fantastic trumpet too. August 11-14, 2005: The BayFront Blues Festival in Duluth Minnesota features Leon Russell, Ruth Brown, Solomon Burke, Alvin Young Blood Hart plus 35-40 acts over 4 days. Admission $50 all 4 days advance or $25 per day at gate. Bayfront is located on Lake Superior in downtown Duluth. The original Fitgers Brewery still features the original brewery in museum format with retail stores and a good restaurant.
